





What happens in a Counselling/Psychotherapy session?
There is no typical therapeutic session. You are free to discuss what you wish from everyday events, dilemmas, feelings, thoughts, memories and dreams; however your focus will vary depending on your goals and needs. As your therapist, I will provide a safe environment in which you may explore your issues and work towards self-improvement. If you prefer to approach your issues in a more specific therapeutic model, then I am skilled in the following therapies e.g. Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, EFT, Sandplay therapy, Systemic therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. These approaches can be discussed when we first meet.
How many sessions will I need and how long is each session? The number of sessions will depend on your goals and the issues you would like to resolve. Each session lasts 50 minutes from the scheduled start time.How many sessions do I have to commit to? You do not have to commit to any number of sessions, you can decide whether you book another appointment at the end of each session. However sessions not cancelled within 24 hours will be subject to a fee.
